LOL, hows your SCUBA? Most of the royal area dating to the end of the Republic is underwater.

You wouldn't have to offer me money to go back to Alexandria. I'd be there in a second if I had enough time off from work. Its an amazing city with amazing (surprisingly westernized) people.

The last time I was there I left the hotel at around midnight, met a young family just outside the palace gardens and smoked sheesha with them for a bit before they invited me back to their house...which ended up being like 5 miles away and they didn't have a car. We walked to their house for two hours, through the back streets of Alexandria and had breakfast in their home before he drove me back to the hotel at around 9 in the morning (he was a local van-taxi driver).

Alex is fantastic.
