Good pics billy... it shows the obvious, but you really have to be their to see first hand what a joke it is...

There is a natural fissure in the rock alittle more half way beyong the middel torso and the theory the orthos come back with is that the AE" had to elongate the body because they were afraid of the weakenss of the fiissure...

But that explains nothing... the head is not in proportion to the body just because the body is elongated... even if the sphinx body was not artifially elingated, the head would still be out of proportion to the overall length and height of the body anyway....

Its just to small and like you pointed out, the head of the sphinx is not even aligned properly.

This is the reason why the head had to be wnforced from the neck constantly throughout history, because it was not intended to be the orginal head...

The AE"s made there dieites a man body with a animal head, not the otherway around.....

I don't think the head was recarved... I think the orginal lion head was destroyed somehow and a entirely new head was put on, probably a later nubian king.... the face looks african.... black african....

Its obvious..
