It was a saturday afternoon, I was working a little overtime. I just got out of work at one in the afternoon, went in the car to start it up and then got a phone call from mariola saying she left me and moved. I went back home and the house was empty, the landlord was there repainting the interior. Mariola left some stuff for me and some of my belongings on the porch. In the pile, were all our photos of egypt. I'm sure you can imagine my state of mind at that moment and the trauma and shock of what just happenned. At that moment, I didn't care about material things or my possession. I was in another world. A world that I wouldn't wish to happen to my worst enemy. I just left and drove and drove and drove, I didn't even know where I was going and had no destination. I just went on the highway and drove.... I didn't take all the pictures of egypt. All the great stuff that I photographed probably ended up in the garbage bin...

Looking back, I should have taken the hundreds of photos, photos that were not only needed for future research but for the memories....

Sorry that I have no photos to show you. I was having a nervous break down when I saw the house empty, all my furniture, my step kids, my wife and my beloved german shephered. All gone, nothing but an empty shell of a house...

I didn't take none of my belongings, including the pictures and I just left with the cloths on my back.

I wish I had photos to show you.....
