Well then if you remember Reeves' work on it then you should remember that he was searching for Nefertiti. I feel quite badly for Reeves, having lost his concession due to the allegations made against him which weren't true.

(Plus I always thought he was a cutie!)

I think they're trying to avoid some of the press attack that they had when KV63 was announced.... maybe waiting till they have more of an idea what they've found.
