Subject: What will Santa bring this year?

Hello everyone,
I live in Sevierville, Tn. a very much tourist related town. Tomorrow, Dec. 18th 2003 is my anniversery. My husband and I have been married 10 wonderful years. He is the greatest father to our 10yr old son and most loyal husband any woman could ever as for. I am very blessed in that way. However, we just found out that my husband will be loosing his job at the begining of January. The textile plant in which he has worked for 4yrs now will be closing for good. This news couldn't have come at a worse time for us. My husband doesn't want us to worry about it, he keeps tell me everything will work out, but I can't help but worry, with Christmas just around the corner, and we have a morgage to pay!! I have two children from a previous marriage that moved out and in with thier father because of the drastic cut in hours. Anyone who has ever been to Pigeon Forge or Sevierville Tn, knows winter time is our off season. There are over 400 people that work at that plant, many that have been there for several years and were close to retirement. I worry for those people as well, where will they all go after this, and what will this do to the economy here in Sevier County? I don't know the answers, and I don't know who is to blame. But for now I am concerned about my children at Christmas time, and tomorrow I will worry about our future. Thank you for listening.....

sincerely,
Sonya Hopewell
