Subject: just the two of us

hello all! another christmas has come and gone. i pray all of your wishes came true. ive never written to anyone like this and it has nothing really to do so much with christmas-but every day of my life. you see, i am terminally ill with hepatitis c. i was once a CNA and cared for others. now, i do well to care for myself. my husband was a big strapping fellow too not long ago- till he got hurt at work. he worked for a tree service and was clearing power lines one night during an electrical storm. a tree fell on him and crushed his leg. an inch more it would have crushed his head. even with 16 months of surgeries and therapy, not to mention the intense treatments for the ptsd, he is in bad shape.i am unable to hold a regular job and have been denied disability 3 times but am going to try again. he is waiting to hear from disability also. we never have had much- always been poor but got by and are thankful for what we do have. we were happy. we didnt have anything for christmas- not even a christmas dinner. but thats ok too- we had something for sandwiches and it was clean and good. i was told by a dr that i didnt have many more years left and now, the drs are talking the same way about david. but i know well both be here till Jesus calls us home. but in the meantime- do you fine folks think wishes really come true? what about prayers being answered? have any of you ever helped someones wishes come true or been the answer to their prayers? i have and its the most wonderful feeling on earth!!! im gonna get a little bit selfish here- before i die- i wish for a toy pomeranian puppy [solid black] for my husband and a dell computer for me!! thanks for letting me share with you.
