Subject: Choices~ Christmas or food

I cant sleep and was reading some of these storys on here and i realize i should be greatful for a roof over my head and that i do have some kind of income.My husband was laid off due to his job moving out of state about 4 months ago,we have been struggling on unemployment ever since.We were homeless for 3 months and recently got a place(Finally)....well,we didnt have a refridgerater and a local agency assisted us in getting a used one and helped us with food stamps,this was a relief due to the fact that christmas was coming .Well,we got our food stamps,stocked up on food for well more then a month in november,here we are Dec 1st and ALL our food was spoiled because the refridgerater broke:(..we were forced to throw out over 20 meals. Now we have no way of getting our 3 children ages 11,12 and 14 anything for christmas because we have to buy food..the agency that helped us get the fridge said our kids were too old for christmas help and they cant repair the fridge because them getting it for us was concidered our 1 time every 5 years government help!!They did send us to a church for food BUT after standing in line for over an hour in the freezing cold along with 100 others,they ran out and sent us home... so here we are..no more food stamps and no fridge.i want anyone out there to know you arent alone and that tonight im saying a prayer for Everyone who is in my situation and i wish i could help you all..God loves us all and sometimes it takes things like this to happen for us all to see the real and true meaning of Christmas!Merry Christmas and God bless :)
