A possible source of this misconception is the aforementioned movie, "Screamplay". I got a copy from Amazon after reading this thread and Veronica (I was told in no uncertain terms to never call her "Ronnie") does in fact have a very small role as a TV reporter investigating a death in a motel. She leers into the camera and delivers her one line which is, "A suicide?" joining a chorus of speculation from other actors. It was a little unsettling.
