The moment she runs into miss vaughn, after having received the news about her mother.
There is something in that scene that i cannot exactly describe, but it is very tender.
It is probably both the genuine care for her student that you can feel going out from miss vaughn (being played very well also) and how that suddenly breaks through the shield of paulie's 'tough' attitude, showing her total vulnerability.
