Subject: why did Paulie want to kill Jake ?

hi @ all

I must say that I'm really impressed. Paulie is the strongest character I've ever seen. I heard about the movie before, but I have never been able to see it until I saw it accidently on German TV one and a half months ago.

But there's one thing I don't get. Why did Paulie want to hurt / kill Jake ? It's not his fault that Tori loves him. Was Paulie thinking that if she couldn't get Tori nobody else should get her, either ? Tori says that she does love Paulie and Jake, too, just in different ways.

Why did she want to fight and hurt Jake if she already decided to commit suicide afterwards ?

What does Jake's suffering mean to her ?

btw: your site is absolutely great. :-P
