hey Sara!

well as long as we can't ask Judith Thompson and Léa Pool direct, i guess we only can assume and research about the facts that caused the single scenes of movie.

And fact is, that the book, the novel, tells us a reason why Mouse's father no more able to come, just Mouse did not knew then.

By the way i guess that the end was not very clear from the beginning, because there are some changes of daytime / nighttime that are not really clear to me... remember Paulie wanted to meet Jake at DARK noon...

The only way to clear things up might be to get an interview with the screenwriter and movie makers and hope they have a good memory ;)
