Subject: an incounter with a salon that did not deliever and ruined my hair

what are the industries standard of practice, along with what you should expect from the salon and stylist. what and who should you tip. i have been burned (riped off) with the last person/salon i went to. the salon quoted $130 when asked detailed questions of what i wanted, nothing was left to questions and i explained what i expected. i was charged $180. when explaining the difference along with the quote the person at the registar said i probably did not tell the person everything i wanted. when i explained the detailed conversation he replied with "oh well". my hair was over processed during the color session, buring my hair, the sylist when asked if he new what i wanted replied with "it's pretty simple, i think i can understand that", when asked for suggestions, he told me he didn't do that. he used a razor to cut my hair without asking, used a curling iron, which i never use. i alway have my hair cut with sissors due to the fine texture, a brush to blow dry it, and conditioning has always been done with color which is a 3 color process, using the foil technique. i was told a consultation would be done, which never took place. the syilist is a master stylist. what are the requirements to obtain this title. this person had stylist back to back with maybe 3 feet apart. he also was teaching other stylist, interupting what they were doing along with telling them across the room. when that did not satisfy him he would leave and either watch, and direct or do it himself. so what do you think? he also had run lavish adds saying he also had an art museum with works you could buy. that consistant of a few pottery pieces around 5 displayed on glass/metal bookcase along with products for hair care...
