"His name's Mechanical Error," she says quietly, watching him with frightened eyes. Last person who came to her scared the shit out of her, ad now she was more than paranoid. "Promise me you won't hurt me, and I'll come, okay?" Melody asked, standing silently and brushing off some dust and grime. She allowed her pet to examine the stranger before picking him up, cuddling him close.
Mech whines, jumping out of the bundle and moving up to sniff the stranger's boots. He soon jump back to Melody, who scoops him up gently.
