NEWBURGH – On the eve of a Newburgh City Council meeting with Councilman Omari Shakur’s 25-tirade at city police last week is expected to be a topic of discussion, a second video has surfaced.



This one, obtained by MidHudsonNews.com, involved cellphone video in May 2018 showing Shakur, as a private citizen, cursing at the police, calling them “pigs,” while on Broadway.

The outburst came after police executed a search warrant for cocaine distribution.

After the length curse-filled outburst was secured by Mid-Hudson News, Shakur apologized and said he was trying to mend fences with the police department, although he maintained they continue an ongoing campaign of disrespect toward him.
