Yet you'll not vote for another party whose candidate has a proven record as a City Councilperson? "It hasn't happened in your lifetime"? So you've just voted without thinking? On the local level parties have little, if any, distinction. Their only function- as demonstrated by Dems in the City of Newburgh and Reps in most other towns surrounding it- is to abuse power as a group and to prevent any demonstrable dissent or debate. It's why our council was so lax in forcing the city manager to live here- in spite of their supposed commitment to our charter- and allowing a woman- whose family was heavily involved in this city's corruption- to be his sidekick lawyer. "Working together" to defraud the people of this city goes unquestioned because one party rule.
