NECSD is a $300+ million business that crosses over to the City. The city and schools are inter-tangled. High crime rate, poor quality housing, high poverty and unemployment are inter tangled with poor quality schools and vice versa.
The city and schools are both contributing to the dysfunction of this social service, govt aid economy. Too many have grown dependent on these dollars for the incomes they provide as employees or vendors.

Many times school and city officials have met to discuss the issues, not that it helps, but they see the inter dependence. Why not you, Administrator?
