So, you dismiss his words because he’s a “personality” yet you have no idea what he’s saying as a person. His words are his truth, his emotional response to the public murder of another man. A Black man.

Yes, talk with your neighbors, engage in conversation, discuss ways you can make change. But don’t dismiss the words of this man, this Black man. How can you engage in conversation with anyone when you deny the words of another? What will you discuss with your neighbors? What topic will you bring up to those up and down the town? Will you say you don’t see color? Will you tell them how to protest, or what is right and just? Will you proclaim your freedom from racism while refusing to listen to the deep pain being spoken by “personalities” and other humans?

Miss me with your talk talk rhetoric. Nobody is telling you what to think or feel, but you’re busy telling on yourself. Shut up and listen. You might learn something.
