Subject: Britannic wreck

The Britannic wreck is actually in a remarkable state of preservation, and her hull is still as sound as the day that she sank. Raising the ship would be an obstacle, although it is not impossible. As someone said on this board, C-Deck is really the only thing keeping the bow attached, and any attempt to turn her onto her keel would most definitely tear the bow away. Most of the wooden decking is still intact, just to make that clear. As for corrosion, the Britannic, if the damage forward were to be mended, could probably survive a few ocean voyages if she were to be raised, although the cost of such a thing is very expensive. The Titanic is in much deeper and colder water, with much more underwater bacteria near her. The only life growing on the Britannic is your basic marine growth, there is really nothing that hasn't been seen before on her. However if Simon Mills is concerned enough about the wreck he could always send divers down to scrape off the marine growth. It is very likely that the Britannic will still be in remarkable shape even after the youngest of us have departed the earth.
