Subject: New Observations

I've been working on this set over the last week. Some are credited to Bruce Beveride, especially the forecastle ones:

* The #1 hatch cover on Britannic was identical to the one on Titanic.

* The steam winch valve cover (The inverted T in the deck) is slightly closer to the #1 hatch than it is on the sisters.

* The cable wheel and foul weather vent are moved forward, almost butting up against the aforementioned "T".

* There was a conduit/canvas support rod extending from the forward B-Deck bulkhead across the well deck to the forecastle centrally.

* The children's playroom's aft bulkhead wasn't flush with the casing/gymnasium aft bulkhead. It was slightly further forward.

* The aft expansion joint (the 3rd one) is noticeably further aft on Britannic than on Titanic/Olympic. It runs across the front of the #4 funnel casing.

* The windows in either side of the second class entrance deck house were evenly spaced, unlike the ones on the sisters. There may have been THREE windows on either side, but I have yet to find proof.

That's it for now...

Russ
