I too, like Maria, have been watching the almost continuous news coverage here in the UK regarding the devastation caused by Katrina. Every day I keep thinking they will maybe be getting the help they so obviously and desperately need - those poor poor people. Very slowly, I suppose, it is coming but jesus, what an absolute tragedy! The pictures we are getting here..... bodies lying in the streets, people begging for help, dogs and cats shown dying on verandhas and on car roofs ..... just heartbreaking. I think that none of our ladies are from that area but I hope that their families and loved ones are not there either. A little house just outside Liverpool is thinking of all those lost little houses in New Orleans and Biloxi. I wish I could do more.
