Subject: Hey Sanda! I love Bobby McFerrin! Years ago, I heard him (on TV) sing the Star Spangled Banner, and it totally changed my entire perception of our national anthem! Who knew it was actually a blues song, LOL?!! McFerrin's version was absolutely awesome!>>>>>>>
In reply to: sanda 's message, "Hey Marcy! Life is busy as usual, but I'm enjoying the summer-ish weather we're finally having here. Other than that, there's nothing really major going on. Except that Bobby McFerrin, my favourite living and breathing musician, is coming to town in two weeks, and two weeks after that Wynton Marsalis! Good times!" on Wednesday, June 23, 04:32:21am

Paul Kelly (one of my favorite musicians) is about to be here in LA for the second time in 6 months, so I'm a *very* happy camper. (Gotta love those Aussie boys, LOL!!)

But things are actually pretty quiet. Which is a good thing, because the job is pretty busy. We've been having our usual "June gloom" (cool, humid, lots of marine layer that sometimes lasts all day). But July is usually a really nice month here (dry, Sunny, not too hot yet), and then August starts getting seriously hot, and it stays hot until Nov.

Glad things are good where you are! I keep thinking of the beautiful picture you sent me!

Things are pretty strange in the US at the moment. We're gearing up for the election in November (they start early here, LOL!), and it's likely to be a really down and dirty fight this time. Emotions are already running pretty high among the ones of us who think the whole future of our country depends on removing GWB from the White House, and his equally intense supporters. I have a feeling it's going to get pretty surreal before it's over.

I need a new TOFOG album on the horizon -- to preserve what's left of my sanity, LOL!! At least Soundstage is coming up in September (which seems like forever at the moment!) Bless their hearts for promising a DVD!!

It's so great to hear from you!!

Many Big Hugs!!
Marcy
