You mention the possibility of Pretender fans chatting during the opening act, and boy, that sounds prophectic. even at our own gigs in times past the problem of conversations as a loud bzzzz bee drone was bad (stone pony).
I think this opening act/double billing (I hope) is for introductions.
more and more I think the aim for me should be a solo gig...and yet, here we fucking go again...Saturday I have to buy a ticket ot Austin, and I could find out later that a more convenient solo gig exists.

I hope I learned some gewd lessons from last years exp.
