Subject: Now for Riddle #2

There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter.

What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?

I have absolutely NO idea what it is, but I'll bet ya it has an A or an I in it. :-)

I'll tax my brian and see if I can figure it out.

You've got to narrow it down for me at least a bit. What letter does it start with?

Sasquatch = A furry beast from the Northernmost region.

Saquatch = A bizarre combo... something between a breakfast burrito and a sandwich.

Aquatch = A swimming move, one that involves acrobatics.

Quatch = Something just plain vulgar.

Quath = A unit of space and time.

Quat = A fruit, without the cum... (note: not an obscene reference)

Qat = According to the Scrabble Players Dictionary... n pl. -S kat

Which therein leads us to -

At - While Laney was AT the store buying scotch, she then stumbled upon some wine, tripped over a case of beer and decided upon some Kahlua.

In turn this leads us to -

A - To entertain the masses, Laney once made an A... in Absolut. :-)

And dang it, if it's not that, then it's just GOT to be Shittake (mushrooms), 'cause Lord knows you could make a buttload of words out of that one. ;-)
