While in the interview yesterday, the interviewers gave us a sheet of paper with a scenerio on it and 5 minutes to discuss it.

The World Leaders have united together to colonize a new planet. You are a committee appointed to select who shall relocate to this planet. This planet is much like our own except that it is unpopulated. Once the colonist arrive there, they will have no further contact with Earth. Unfortunately, the spacecraft they will utilize is limite in size and resources. Originally the ship was designed to hold 15 people. Scientists have now determined that in order to survive, only 7 of the 15 originally planned will be able to go on the voyage. Your committee will have the responsibility to decide which of these individuals will travel to the planet and establish a new civilization.

*Electrician
*Farmer
*Engineer
*Bio-Chemist

*Computer Specialist
*Physician
*Botanist

Who would you select?

1. Carpenter--to build and direct the building of shelter for the civilization

2. Physician--to repair physical damage to human specimens

3. Athlete--for good genetic material for procreation (boinking)

4. Engineer--to create long-distance phones out of coconuts, etc.

5. Teacher--to pass on the knowledge of the previous civilization

6. Teenage Boy--yes, it's not immediately apparent why anyone would want a sex-crazed recalcitrant loafer included, but you need some younger types to procreate and run after the young 'uns.

7. Young Female Pop Singer--not for the performances, but to mate with the above-mentioned teenage boy, or the athlete, or anyone else for that matter.

You would also want to factor into the mix different ethnic backgrounds, gender, etc.

Now let's hope that physician brings along a healthy supply of drugs!

Great going, Femster. I too brought up the fact that I would have chosen the teenage boy and the young pop star girl, and the whole group vetoed me. The talk about propagating the species seemed obvious to me, but not others I guess.

The ones I would have chosen other than the horn dogs would have been;

The carpenter
The nurse... because they know as much if not more than doctors!
The farmer
The teacher
and The botanist
