Well.. I know I havent been around in a LONG time. Alot going on in my life. Now to add to it all.. My 17 month old was just diagnosed with Embryo Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer in his bladder that spread into his prostate. I had been taking Brian (the baby) to the pediatrics for him not being able to urinate. He would struggle, grunting.. as if he was constipated. After being yanked around and not getting anywhere, I drove an hour to Syracuse NY to and ER. After 6hrs of trying to get thru to a resident intern that my couldnt pee, we were able to get someone from Urology in at 3am where they did a Sonogram. Thats where I saw the mass and was later comfirmed by other doctors. Long story short.. I now sit in the hospital with him just about daily. The past month we have been home about 6 days and thats not consecutive days.
They have him on chemo for a year and going to be started Radiology in 6 weeks. Its gonna be a LONG road for recovery but my spirits are high. I am pretty much doing this alone. My sons father has a new gf and puts her first. He says I am being bitter and jealous so thats his reason he wont come see his son. I think its rediculous that he wont come see his child without bringing his GF that hes only been dating a month. its not her place to be right now but if im wrong.. tell me. She moved in with him after 4 days of dating and thinks she can be involved in everything now. I let her come wtih him the first week but then I put my foot down and kicked her out after I reached my last nerve. Whats sad is that now every time my son sees a bald man or shaved headed man he calls "dadda". The responses I get are interesting.. but its pretty embarrassing too. lol
I will be comin here to visit alot I am thinking to help pass the time away. Feel free to email me.
Sorry if i rambled on and on but its late and Im beat. Baby had more surgery today and i dont want to disturb him. I have been sleeping with him in his hospital crib. LOL
