I went to Camp Algonquin, Argyle N.Y. from 1973- 1979. You may also remember my sister Margie and my brother Jeff. My dad was the basketball specialist at the camp. Drop a line to say hello.

Hey all. Was in CA ,1976,1980, 81, 83-85 (I think). I know that I was in bunks 15 (staff kid), 16, 17, 18, 19 and 2 years in waiters. Have lots of great memories of camp ranging from Cropsey, Midnight boat launches, CAU, Color War, Camp Outs the night before visiting day, finally getting to be part of the rope burn team!! roller skating down the road, algae pond, "camper-gate" - waiters stole/hid entire camp as a prank one morning. "Tempted by the Camp of Another", watching "Sleepaway Camp"; Camp Arawak sign under the boathouse. Was back to the camp a few years back and SADLY, it's all gone. All that's left are the cement surfaces of upper and lower tennis courts. All buidlings are long gone and the brush that's covered them in makes it look like nothing was ever even there. Lake seemed cleaner than it ever did and the waterfront is much smaller than I remember. I can be reached at damargo@comcast.net to share memories.
