*Scoots back quickly, rising off her front paws to catch the toy. Barely grasps it, then uses her front paws to push it further in her jaws. Drops back to all fours, trotting over to Carmen with excitement. Places the toy near Carmen, pausing her play when she hears the puppies' cries. Looks up to Carmen as if to apologize before jumping up to where the pups were napping, letting them nurse.*

(Next post I'll probally have the pups skip to 9 weeks of age or so.)
