The show last night in Cambridge was amazing.

I didn't get into the show until The Gamits set. I missed Meat Depressed, but I've seen them a few times in the past anyway. The Gamits were great, though. They sound kind of like Green Day. Even the singer looks like Billie Joe. It was awesome.
I didn't watch the Ten Foot Pole set.

When the Queers came on, the entire audience was going crazy. I was in the front center, being pushed up against amps. It sucks being the youngest person at a show. And believe me, I was THE youngest there. I'm only 16, and it was an 18+ show.
Joe announced that there were going to be 2 special guest vocalists. I already knew who one of them were going to be, but I was kind of confused about the 2nd.

The Queers belted out awesome songs, including
I met her at the rat, This place sucks, Love Love Love, Fuck This World, Kill That Girl, Ursala Finally Has Tits, Monster Zero, Another Girl, Punk Rock Girls, Murder in the Brady House, I wanna be happy, You're Tripping, Get Over You, Like a Parasite, I only drink Bud, and a bunch more.

Then the first guest vocalist came on: Bobby. When I saw him come on, I immediatly knew who he was. I remembered him from a video I own. The Queers live in Hartford, CT opening for the Ramones in 1986(which you can buy from the Leftover Records page). Bobby does a set with them. Bobby was the lead vocalist of the Queers in the mid 80s. He is not well known, but he's been in other bands such as Facts About Rats and the 8-Balls. The songs that he sang last night were Slug, Hawaii, and Goodbye California. The crowd loved him.

After Bobby, came Wimpy. Wimpy, as you should know, was the lead vocalist of the Queers in the early 80s. The songs Wimpy sang were
We'd have a riot doing heroin
Kicked Out Of the Webelos
This Place Sucks
I like young girls
Nothin to do.

Wimpy, the drunk hawk(since he prays on the audience)went around, hitting male audience members, and carressing the female audience members. Since I am a male, Wimpy grabbed me by the throat and shoved me backwards. But, since my friend Jessica is female, he brushed up against her face during I Like Young Girls.

It was an amazing show. There's no place like Boston. If you're from anywhere else in the world, you will not get a show as good as this one.

I grabbed a copy of the new Queers cd as well. It is called "Summer Hits No. 1". It's a re-recorded compilation of 15 Queers hits. The track listing is as follows:

This Place Sucks(Phillip Idol on lead vox. Written by Joe Queer/Ben Weasel)
Monster Zero
You're Tripping
Kicked Out Of The Webelos(slow Iggy Pop style version. Written by Joe Queer/Wimpy Rutherford)
Love Love Love
Another Girl
My Old Man's a Fatso(Angry Samoans)
I Wanna Be Happy(Written by Joe Queer/Ben Weasel/Joey Ramone)
Ursula Finally Has Tits
Like a Parasite(written by Joe Queer/Ben Weasel)
Psycho Over You(Written by Joe Queer/Dirty Walter)
Punk Rock Girls
Aishiteruyo Kanojo(new. Written by Joe Queer/Mimi Hashimoto)
The Kids Are Alright(The Who)
Fuck This World

This cd is on Doheny Records. It's distributed through Suburban Home records.
