antrian panjang di depan kasir. aku dan temanku sabar menunggu hingga kami di urutan terdepan. kami mengeluarkan barang2 belanjaan dari trolley. aku berpesan, "yg ini dipisahkan ya mbak." jelaslah, mana mau bos ngebayarin barang belanjaan kami seperti snack, sabun cuci, sabun mandi dll. yg jelas2 properti kantor seperti ATK dan kipas angin utk temanku yg gak bisa tidur gara2 kepanasan sih, tentulah under company account.

tahu2 kami bicara seputar bos. "ya sapa tahu bossnya baik hati mbak, mau ngebayarin semuanya." "ah, mana ada sih boss yg baik hati," jawabku. "boss aku baik," katanya sambil tersenyum, "baik dia, saya berdiri delapan jam begini." baru kuperhatikan kasir itu memang melayani customer sambil berdiri. "kenapa nggak disediakan kursi sih mbak?" "yah katanya kalo berdiri itu siap melayani. harus tersenyum terus, kalo nggak pelanggan protes," ceritanya. "boss lagi pulang ke jawa."

bla, bla, bla, selesai hitung menghitung belanjaan. dan kuperhatikan, dia tetap tersenyum selama mengeluh terselubung itu.
