Subject: makan malam Author: bayik [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 01:18:33 12/11/03 Thu senaaang banget malam ini bisa makan malam dg sales hotel kesayangan gw. udah lama nggak ketemu dia, serasa udah bertahun2 padahal kenal juga belum ada setahun deh ih. empat jam nonstop ngobrol ngalor ngidul, agak2 curhat2 pribadi, urusan kerja buat kita mah nomor sekian hehehe. benernya sih gw support hotel dia juga belom gitu gede volumenya, tapi dia percaya banget kita bakal bisa gede juga di bali dan dia yakin banget ama kapabilitas gw, ehem. betewe company gw tahun ini meraih gelar sebagai 'top supporting agent' utk hotel ACCOR group se-Indonesia meeen! :D [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]

Gue ketemu idola gue sejak SMA, Michelle Visage, di Yahoo groups. Dan dia nulis surat ke gue, di yahoogroupsnya, ya ampun percaya gak seh lo? It was like, the most, well one of the most, incredible things to me. And she was kind as an angel. You know, Michelle Visage, from Seduction and the one who rap on the song It's Gonna Be A Lovely day. I believe I heard on TV she wrote the lyric to the song "It's Gonna Be A Lovely Day" herself. Well they used sample music from Bill Withers but the rap is Michelle's I think. And it is so poetic and nice. I know, not many people here heard of C&C Music factory, Soul System or Seduction but I am sure you would recognize their songs if you hear them because their songs like on the dance floor 24/7 throughout clubs back in late 80's and early 90's along with stuff like Red Flag (Russian Radio), Noel, you know, Silent Morning, NKOTB and so on (I was gonna include Tommy Page and Jason Donovan but I think not, maybe some other time) I mean I used to listen to (You're My One And Only) True Love and Two To Make It Right with my friend, Hannah. Citing the lyric and all. We may be apart, we do different things, but when we dance to such songs, nothing could seperate us. "It takes two to make the things go right It takes two to make it out of sight" We grew up with that kind of music, I guess. From Seduction, Milli Vanilli, up to C&C Music Factory, Soul System and in between. Sure, now we have goodstuff from fatboy slim or moby and all, but 90's dance pop to me, it feels like home. Brings me closer to my family. Hannah and I, we were witness to the birth of perfected sound of Drum Machine Loop :) We're the bastard children of the marriage between loud (good) music and alcohol, we used to say.
