I don’t usually participate in these discussions because I feel that this is a futile exercise in trying to get your voice heard. I’m a practicing Moslem and my Islam is not what this purported Imam stood, or rather did not, for.

I truly have difficulty in believing the story because one does not become an Imam, an appointed one – nonetheless, because he claims to be a Moslem. I don’t know how much this Imam really knows of what he’s preaching but what I really know is that Islam is the religion of Abraham and all other prophets after him.

This last Sunday was the Eid Al-Adha in the Moslem world and that is the culmination of the Hajj or pilgrimage to Mecca. This is accomplished by slaughtering a sheep, or other livestock, as a sacrifice to Allah, God or Jehovah – these are but names for the same god. The theologically inclined of you will undoubtly see the connection to Abraham. The Eid celebrates that day.

Don’t let the ones with little knowledge or those with malice intent keep you from learning the truth. The West has a wonderful saying “The truth will set you free”. I truly believe that.
