Subject: What a mess+

As a Software Engineer and a person that has before worked in a university lab, I found the following saga to be very interesting and controversial which continues to occupy my mind. It might move you, so my apologies if the direction is not what you might expect.

First the Claremore Progress article: RSU in legal battle with former students
And now the kid’s website: RSU Saga

After spending an hour or so reading the different court briefs and the tape transcript, I tend to want to side in favor of the kids. However considering the number of lawyers that have been hired, the amount they are suing for, and the fact that as a tax payer I would have to pay for their settlements, I am not so sure. I do believe that the University exercised an abuse of power on the wrong kids (they should have found less savvy ones). But should that kind of abuse be met with an equal amount of power? What do you think?
