1980 Zebras 25th High School Reunion Committee Meeting

January 13, 2005

DATE: Teresa announced that the date for Homecoming has been set for September 23, 2005.

Saturday Venue: It was a consensus of the group to dismiss the Cherokee Casino as a consideration for the Saturday night location.

Will Rogers Downs had been visited by Teresa and after discussion by the group it was also dismissed.

The Tulsa Builders Association charges $750.00 for the room, tables and chairs with a $300 security deposit. We would have to obtain our own caterer and bartender.

Post Hall doesn’t offer a discount for faculty members. It would be $500 for the room, tables and chairs but no linens. The food would be provided thru them. A basic reception would be about $8.50 a person. A licensed bartender would be $250.00 but a student bartender could be obtained for $100 plus tips. A margarita machine would be $115.00. Missy stated she might be able to get us a better deal and would check on that before the next meeting.

Missy also suggested that we check on the American Legion in Claremore. There would be a $50-75 dollar deposit plus $40 an hour. Approximate cost for 7 PM to 2 AM would be approximately $280.00. They have a bar with beers costing around $1.50 and mixed drinks starting at $2.00. She might even be able to get us a better deal. We would have to use a caterer for the food. Missy also will check on BFS (Business Food Solutions) as a possible caterer to use.

Next Wednesday at 7:00 PM the committee will meet at the American Legion to check out the location for consideration.

Saturday Entertainment:
DJ Connection provides a fog machine, play list to pick from for $575.00.
Time Machine Band would cost approximately $1200. Marie and Teresa will check on getting Time Machine and verify the price.

Tax Exempt Status and Budget: Brenda stated that she does now have the tax number and will open an account when there is money to deposit.

Website: Michael has been researching and is still working on it.

A scholarship versus giving money to the foundation was discussed.

Next Monthly Meeting will be at the American Legion on Saturday February 19, at 7:00 PM.

Meeting adjourned 8:45 pm.
