Hey Mark,
A funny story and an add-on to your list. My youngest son floored me one day, a few years ago. We were moving from an apartment to a house, and I decided to have the cable disconnected until we moved, which was only a few days. So one day he comes home from school and looked around for the remote to the cable box, and couldn't find it. He asks "where's the remote?" I told him the cable had been disconnected so there was no remote, ( our television at that time didn't have a remote either). His reply was, "so I'm going to have to go change the channel?" It was a whole 3 feet to the tv, mind you. So, add remote controls to your list. Actually it should be "what was life like before remotes"
Oh, my kids do know what a b&w tv is because they had a small one I bought at a garage sale for $5 that lasted at least 3 years. :)

LOL! When I was a kid there would be an actor on TV and my dad would start talking about him/her and tell me all about things they had done, movies that they had been in----and I would stare at him politely with a blank look until he caught on that I had no idea what he was talking about.

Now I'll see an actor in an old movie and say, "Thats Mike Connors! He used to be in one of my favorite shows, Mannix." Or, "Thats Jimmy Stewart, he was a great actor!"
Or, "Do you remember when Elvis was on the Ed Sullivan show?"

And yes, you guess it! Now I get to see that blank stare from the other side! The worst part is that I see it coming from people at work who have been adults for quite some time!
