Thanks Val! You reminded me of one that I wanted to put on the other day and forgot:

--Being a kid and periodically taking part in Air Raid Drills at school to prepare us for a nuclear attack.

--I also remember asking my dad why you had the choice between four types of gasoline; leaded, unleaded, diesel and Ethyl! And who was Ethyl, anyway? LOL.

--I've told my kids about the paddle hanging on the wall behind the teacher's desk (a two by four with holes drilled in it to cut down wind resistance) and they just roll their eyes--yeah, right dad, sure.

--Speaking of shopping, Mike, how about being able to count back change?

--Sleeping in the floorboard of the car brings back such memories, Val! I remember the way they used to make the two lane highways--with tar filling in cracks. At highway speed it would make this rythmic sound as the tires went across them and would put me to sleep in no time.

--Cars with "Fins"

--Cars with Carberators (sp?). Or cars you could work on without a computer anyway.

--Do any of the schools still use those huge fans, or are they all airconditioned?
