Subject: Record Racing - A Rocker Myth? Please help...

Needless to say a great site!

Can you all help to answer this question?

Did 'record racing' everf really happen ( ie putting a record on the juke box and speeding off somewhere to returm before it ends) You mention 'Ton Up boys' to anyone who wasn't one and they always mention this as a favourite passtime at the Bee or the Ace etc. But in a book about the Ace it says it was a myth ( also a 3 minute record wouldn't get you far ) .

Can anyone tell me if this really happend???
