Well, i'm not sure about Mr. Gurney, but I can tell you this. It doesn't matter what you create, the original Dinotopia will always stay the same. In your mind you can change things if you want and share them with people like me who like to read your dragon/baryonyx hybrid stories. Sure i've had my own thoughts about Dinotopia and have changed things around in my stories, but the original Dinotopia has stayed the same and won't change. Whether it is a myth or not on Dinotopia they still seem to be of interest to Dinotopians from what i've seen so far. I remember reading in one of the novels like Lost City that there are buildings named after them or at least have the word "Dragon" in them. That is about all that I know, but I think that you should be able to do what you want whether it exists or not.
