今年８月１２日（下星期）將會有英仙座流星雨，由於地球將衝向一堆年青的流星體（形成流星的星際物質），國際流星組識估計高峰期每小時將會有２００顆流星，為近年最令人期待的一次。

我想問香港邊處睇最靚?

山頂 or 西貢睇唔睇到 ? 駛唔駛捱夜睇gar?

觀測的地點以向東或東北最為理想。西貢應可見,但太平山頂光害嚴重,不太適宜觀星。

至於時間方面,是次英仙座流星雨雖極盛期在11/8 23時,但英仙座卻會在半夜約4時才由東北升上中天,因此如果各位想看多幾顆流星,不妨在11-12/8「通頂」觀看。

長洲沙灘向東應該可見,但略嫌光害嚴重。
而長洲愛暉營及明暉營附近(請參閱長洲地圖)則較為理想。
要注意的是, 長洲愛暉營及明暉營地點較為偏僻,請各位不要孤身前往,同時亦要注意人身安全。

一點更正,是次英仙座流星雨的極盛期是在2004 年 8 月 12 日 5 時 ( 即 11 日晚深夜 5 時 ) ,而不是11/8 23時。
