I totally don¡¦t agree with you.
There are many hard working students in 7A, but they still can't get any offer. I think the main reason is that they get half the result with twice the effort because the teachers teaching AL subjects can't help us. According to their hard work, they deserve a much better result!
You are just a ¹L¨Ó¤H but not a 7A¤H, otherwise you would not make such comment.
If u said "°ª¦Ò¦¨¥\»P§_,¥u©MÓ¤Ht(¥I) ¥X¦¨¥¿¤ñ" then why should our government spend so much money employing that kind of (rubbish) teachers???!!! Your statement may be true in the HKCEE but not in the HKAL. I think the importance of a good teacher and the student is just equal in the AL.
I honestly tell u that i am the one who get C in ACC this year. But my result should be attributed to my tutor but not Mr. William Wong!
Let me tell all of the students in SFXC something about Mr. William Wong's teaching
In the first term of F.6, he taught us with wrong syllabus for nearly half a year. The cancelled syllabus include "Bill of exchange" "Joint Venture" "Branch Account¡¨ and "Hire purchase" If you know something about Account, I think you will be shocked.
And for the new syllabus "cost accounting¡¨, he totally don¡¦t know how to teach. that's why we get this result!
If you can find out the mock exam paper or the exam papers in form six, you can get the evidence.
Actually Mr. Wong is not the only bad teacher in SFXC, other teachers teaching 7A also have many problems, especially Mr. ©ö. He always thinks that his Econ note is the best in the world. But the fact shows that it is not true.
Finally I would like to urge Mr. William Wong to retire earlier.

blame, blame , blame ???
i believe that even if the teachers not good, by ur own hard work, can still get a good result. i was in 7A, Mr William Wong is my Account teacher. and Mr Yik is my Econ teacher, so, Don't Agrue with me.....i am now studying in HKU (A&F). i am not saying that i am superior. i just want to point out that the teachers is not the one who bear the whole responsibility.

without teachers, u just don't know how to find resource to study ? can u read more books ? ask ur classmates to form study groups? ur friends? tutorial center? there is so many ways u could achieve self- study..

i remember when i was in 7A, i read at least two books of each subject, not only the book used in school, also buy or copy others refernce books to read and study.

Also, i support Mr Yik...without him, i can't get a good result in AL econ...he notes may not be the best, or sure is not the best, but he did his job very well, u know how hard he make his notes ? he changes the notes every year according to the change of syallbus or when he found out there is another good way to illustrate the econ concepts, he keeps changing his notes. i know cause he tells me and i help him to do also. Every year after his students graduated, he will ask them to give him the notes of the others tutotial center as reference.

i am here not just support the teachers, what i want is to improve the quality of sfxc students, especially those form 6 and 7 students, be a role model of our junior students, even the teachers not good enough, with out own hard work. Really, u really need to think did u did u best to study in A level. OK, Fine, if u think u did try ur best and u still can't have a good result, then , is it ur study methode have problem, cause now is A level, not in Cert level, the requirement will be much different.

Lastly, i jsut want our students can stop blaming anything or anyone. cause what u can get is in ur own hand, not depends on others.

I have never mention that the teachers are the one who bear the whole responsibilities. What I said is both teachers and students share the same importance.
I know the majority of 7A students are not hard working enough, but how about others? Apart from the one who admitted to UST through the early admission programme, 7A got other students score high points in the HKCEE(one 21points, two 20points and one 18 points ). But the result is that we got only 4 C for the total of four AL subjects!!! Are we stupid??? Are we lazy???

Most of us know how and where to find resources to study, we also read many other reference books and notes. But our valuable day time was wasted by those teachers. Many Business students tried all their means to get business note from 恆商, but all their effort was in vain. It is just because notes cannot replace teachers.

“Ask classmates, form study groups” As you know, 7A students came from different schools and classes, so our relationship is not good.

For tutorial centers, do you think all students can afford this? If all teachers are bad, should we go to the tutorial center to find 4 or 5 tutors???
I also feel sick that someone does a bad job but still get several ten thousands a month!! Is that fair???

Mr. Yik and Mr. wong may be good in the past, but it is no longer a fact now.
You said that Mr. Yik tried very hard, but his students got a terrible result this year. I think it is the problems of his teaching method (this is actually your conclusion). We get our punishment of not being offer a place by the universities, but how about Mr. Yic and Mr.Wong? They still get several ten thousands a month.

I support Mr Hung!
Actually I am one of the 7A students taking account and very luckily I passed the examination. Throughout the two-year-studies, I didn't get much useful help from my account teacher. It is totally unfair for non-7A students the just-ended academic year to say anything about our account results because they didn't see the true picture of our studies, including formal lessons (what a xxxk), self-studying very hard, etc.
No matter what does our dear senior alumni think, we, all 7A students taking account, are surely proud of us because we have had tried our very best to take the examination, and we would be absolutely trying even harder in our future, for studying or for doing jobs.

while all of you have points, i don't want to argue for or against any teaching methods or study methods as they are very subjective. some students can get good results from bad teachers, and vice versa.

but teaching a wrong syllabus is undeniably the teacher's fault.

What's the role of a teacher??? "Encourage" students to read and learn? Helping students in solving problems? That's why we need a teacher.
If we can learn by our own effort, why do we need a teacher? Why do we need a school?
Actually, some students can done very well, but they are just lazy and need some encouragement, can the teachers help them?
E.G. Mr. Fong seems to be lazier than us, so how can we learn effectively under such lazy atmosphere???

I graduated from SFXC Form 7 in 1983. In my class, 7 have entered HKU while 2 have entered Poly Accounts. 5 have entered Baptist College (HKBU now). At that time, William Wong is teaching Accounts and Mr. Felix Fung is teaching economics.
I must say the result depends on the efforts and co-operation between classmates. During the 2 years, our classmates shared a lot resources together. Brotherhood is the key to success
