說真，我不介意現在聖芳濟排名多少，我著意的，是她有否進步空間。提升學業成績這老生常談的問題，我猜教員室裡的每一位，想必都有其大計，我作為學生，在沒有經驗和數據等客觀因素支持下，暫不想作討論。

至於運動成績，以聖芳濟的資源，校隊能有如此出色的表現，實在是「物超所值」了，當然，自不能和有私家球場、專業教練的學校相提並論了。

但我覺得，距離"名校"，聖芳濟實在缺少了一樣一眾名校皆有的產
物，就是敢於承擔、勇於嘗試、放眼世界的領袖學生。就以我屆同學為例，學生會只有一支競選內閣，但"名校"中，每年最少都有兩三組內閣參選吧！又例如，王同學選了個聯校科展副主席，已經全校轟動，但"名校"中，擔任聯校活動要職的，比比皆是。聖芳濟同學們都十分被動，毫無"野心"可言。當然，這締造了校園和諧的氣氛，然而，在此時，"名校"的學生卻在舉辦、參與活動中磨鍊自己，又一代一代地不斷替其校增光，所以才確立起"名校"的聲望。

如果聖芳濟要成為名校，除了公開試中多爭幾個A，運動場上更奪幾個牌外，同學們擴闊視野，積極參與校外活動，替校樹立良好形象，相信亦是其一法門。

如果「名校=好學校」，我看不出爭取成為「名校」有何不妥？
如果「名校=沽名釣譽的學校」，那麼「名校」當然不值一哂。

「學如逆水行舟，不進則退。」「滿招損，謙受益。」為學亦然；做人亦然；辦學亦如是而已矣。

學校內的所有人或事，全是充滿互動的關係，任何一項出了問題，都會影響學校的運作和進步。故此，沒有只解決單一問題而可以令學校「大躍進」的先例。若真要舉一項最重要的事情先做，便是共認的目標；其次要做的是須打動老師和學生肯邁向和達到此目標的「心」。
