教統局指逾五百學校有石棉

教統局常任秘書長羅范椒芬證實，全港有531間學校建築物含有石棉成份，但沒有即時危險。

羅范椒芬表示，所有學校建築物一直有接受維修，建築物亦沒有出現裂痕或剝落等情況，所以沒有即時危險。而學校有與建築署保持聯絡，確保不會對教師同學生的健康構成影響。
