Subject: Can someone explain this draw a little to me.....

I am sorry I didn't read and understand the explanation the first time.
What the jist of the explanation I thought, was that the lower sides get a little bit more of a break than the higher sides. Meaning lowers play lower sides more often, and higher sides play higher sides more often. I might be wrong.
Take the Magpies and the Cats draw from here on in. If you write down the positions of the sides you play, and add them up for the rest of the season, you would get a number, now it would be an advantage to be higher in number, because that would mean that your playing lower sides. Now the Cats 6th at the moment add up to 33, Magpies sitting 8th, add up to 29, so that means Cats play easier games. Playing 14th side, as the lowest, my lowest is 10th side.
This difference may mean making or not making finals. I reckon keep going in order, as I just played Fockers and lost, so I have to play them again, and the Dawks, so that is a possible 2 losses, plus the Cats who are 6th, the Aints that are 7th. So I suppose the real question is, why am I only playing one team under me for the rest of the season??
I already am behind th 8 ball because my points for add up to higher than others above me, but that is the game, but this new fairer draw doesn't seem fairer in the Magpies eyes.

This is just wrong, Power 35, Swans 40, Dawks 37.... -- D9, 4/07/06 12:44:16pm [1]
Please understand, the higher your number the easier your draw, so recapping
1 Power 35
2 Swans 40
3 Dawks 37
4 Fockers 42
5 Bitchmond 28
6 Cats 33
7 Aints 26
8 Magpies 29
9 Blues 42
10 Groins 45
11 Kangas 38
12 Bombers 41
13 Dodgies 42
14 Brians 45
Yes it is a three horse race if this draw goes through.

Yes ........I see your point! -- Maxwell, 4/07/06 12:56:32pm [1]
I tried to make it as even as I could. I did not have a 14 team draw in front of me.
Would have been easier to work with 16 teams or 12 teams.
Leave Round 14 as is.
I will work on it as soon as possible.
Remember I did this draw before the commencement of the footy season, so I had no idea of the top 4 teams.
It seems to be hard on the teams finishing 5-8.
Get back to you.

Would have enjoyed knocking the Blues outta the finals race this week -- RB, 4/07/06 1:05:56pm [1]
But will have to be content with flogging the Swans instead.
