Subject: Got an idea for next year's draw.........

Actually I got this idea from something RB said in one of his emails.

We should have a Rivalry Round to start the season.

Dawks v Swans (Father v Son)
Fockers v Blues (Best mates)
Bitchmond v Power (Best 2 sides in 2005)
Kelpies v Roos (New kids on block)
Magpies v Cats ( Mates, I think)

Maybe other coaches may give input here of other rivalries in the coaches that can be used for Round 1.

Rounds 1-13
each team plays each team once.

After Round 13 the teams are placed in 2 pools
EVEN placed teams
ODD placed teams

Each team then plays other teams in their pool for the next 5 rounds.

That way the competition is as fair as we can make it.

This year I felt I had a great draw. In the end I played the better placed sides once and the poorer performing sides twice. Other coaches may have found they had tougher draws.

What does everyone think?

Maxwell

And yes myself and Jacko are mates, and if Jacko can somehow get out of work next Sunday, you can see us both lining up for the Magpies at Lexus oval next Sunday, V the Blues. 2pm.
