In reply to: Joie Wightman 's message, "Questions about novantrone" on 08:05:33 05/12/06 Fri

Started using Novantrone June 07, first infusion for the first two weeks very sick, then it seemed like I was a new person my MS was under control I could walk etc.(before Novantrone my Neurologist was about ready to place me in a wheel chair). My second infusion kept me very positive about the medication, but it seemed that my system could tell the three months for my next infusion were close. Then it started to happen, around the time for the fifth infusion my system seemed to start to reject the Novantrone, uncontrolable heavy weight gain(edema)and swelling started upper body, arms, legs and feet. Dr.s stopped the Novantrone in Oct.08 and I am still swelling and now MS episodes are happening again. Have not been given a reason as to why this happened, about ready to change Dr.s next week
