Psyke's spirit is suffering from a virus known as Spirits Bane. the name derived from the plants of the mortal world that kill a given species. basically, it is inflicted upon one with a spirit when their three selves seperate rappidly and then re-join. ~*~*he blinked.*~*~ my guess is that he got it on the ship, when he stayed behind in the vanishing tunnel. he probably did not make it out in time- the light would have split the body, spirit and soul apart- but if he was already in the process of teleporting out, they would have re-joined where he came out below the deck. the thing is that one usually knows right away when one has it- i do not know why he didnt say anything. ~*~*again, he blinked.*~*~ .....basically what it is..... it was created by the Dark Spirits not too long ago, by my standards anyways. they were planning to use it to kill the next Spirit of Truth- that being your predecesor, Cye- because he had done terrible things to the Dark Spirits during his life. it worked, rather effectively- but the virus lingered on in the Magic-Based worlds. it attaches its self to a Spirit, and then if not removed quickly, it develops strings of dark energy that lace across the Spirit's body. depending on what type of Spirit it is, it will have different effects. say, if it is a Fire Spirit- it will provide extra weight, and a bit of pain until it eventually falls off. however, if it attaches it self to a Light based spirit.... it usually grows rather rappidly, causing extra weight and eventually begins to cut into its flesh, and will ultimately kill both spirit and body, leaving the soul alone. before then, some of the strings turn into crystals that cling to the spirits body, but most of the string will eventually fall away. if it is already hurting his physical self when the spirit is called, it is progressing rather quickly. ~*~*he looked back up to the bird.*~*~ do not worry, though- the Spirit of Light will not fall due to a virus. it was created to take out mid-ranking Spirits, and can not possibly kill a High Spirit. it will last, probably at the most, a month. just, for his sake, dont expect him to do a whole lot between now and then. ~*~*he turned to Cye.*~*~ yours has a very minor case of it as well. it probably caught it during the crossing through the map. yours will not progress any further than it already has, but be wary of it. do not make your spirit do any physical fighting, and it will go without notice. ~*~*you noted, after it had been pointed out, a singly thread barely clinging to the Spirit of Truth's shirt, but beneath the sleeve was a bright red streak that could be potentially very painful if it was ever hit directly.*~*~ nobody else here is carrying it. and just to set your minds at ease......
