Subject: Who's responding to my house?

Speaking as a citizen of this fine city and not as an employee, I live on a pretty small alley. Rescue 7 is now assigned to respond to my street as the first due engine. Rescue 7 will barely fit down my alley for any structure fires. If the engine does have to respond, it's going to be slow go so as not to cause an accident for the cars that are frequently parked on the alley. I guess residents that opted to reside on any alleys were just discounted as valuable residents. There is also an alley that goes past my house from north to south. None of the current apparatus can make a tight turn of that nature without going through someone's property. Does this mean that individuals that live in alleys are not protected by fire coverage? Knowing full well the amount of time it will take to set up a system to provide water to a fire on a secluded alley, does this mean that if a house catches fire on this type of alley that you'll eventually create bigger yards for the bigger streets?

One last note to Mark. Perhaps you should recalculate you figures. There are now only three water producing vehicles in the city.

South

East

and North.
