mmm slice no ice. i haven't eaten in fiiiiive minutes! planes weren't very good - too screamy for my liking! they look like semi-gothic rockers!! it was absolutely packed too - i couldn't breathe! meant to ask, what's the artwork going to be like for the album - cot death creese are you doing it?

Yes, I am doing the artwork, though I prefer to call it 'art direction.'

Texture will play a big part in this one. I think I want to give the booklet a contemporary urban-meets-burlesque feel with pages of indigo stonewash denim woven with the subtle elegance of burgundy silk or velvet.

In contrast, the photography will embrace the digital revelution with band shots being taken in near darkness using a mobile phone. Images will be blurry, grainy and with a limited colour gamut, therefore nodding toward the vibrant fast-paced, get-it-done-yesterday aesthetic of the futurist cityscape.

The demure rear cover will feature a quarter inch thick slab of polished mahogony with track titles carved into the wood in an immitation cursive typeface. Surrounding this will be pillars of chiselled stone. The overall look should be neo-classical.

Furthermore, the traycard beneath the cd will feature tips on modern living, from cost-effective interior design to popular antique hunting. First 1000 copies pressed will be coated in red wax and stamped with the official seal of approval from The King of France.

If the work is to be engendered, I want the consumer to think 'girl.' It should turn water into wine and give the listener the overall impression of being a toy rather than a music consumable.

PS. Thanks for bigging up my Sidekicks verses via txtmsg
