 Well, your more wrong than right.

Libel suits involve the use of harmful remarks that cause some sort of damage to the injured party, but they must have publication to become a tortious act. There are other elements, i.e. intent, knowledge, reckless disregard for the truth, etc., but dont get all happy thinking you can just avoid a suit.

You, (your web site), has made the publication of the possibly libelous remarks. You might succeed in defending yourself against an action for libel, but you can just about count on being involved in the suit. There are no free passes in life, and anyone can be sued at any time. Its just part of the cost of doing business I guess.
