 Funny story about the DPD and Lyn Somers several years ago. Somers lives down here near Red Oak, and was a big-time drag racer.

Well, he uncovered a massive underground drug-trafficking ring while racing at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis.

Who was involved you ask? Several police officers, including some who worked for the DPD at the time.

Don't believe me. Go ask Lyn Somers about it. A story ran in the Ellis County Press about it. He house was almost burnt to the ground. He's had people shoot at him, not knowing who they were, etc.

Talk about striking a nerve...
