Subject: Importance of keeping discipline with adult dogs

Our male schnauzer is now 20 wks old and wants to copy *everything* our 6 yr old toy poodle does. Happily, we always made our poodle follow rules (stop barking on command, sit, come, no feeding from the table, etc). Our schnauzer always watches our interaction with the poodle very intently and appears to try to copy the poodle's actions. He follows the barking poodle outside onto the deck to help guard, looks around, then looks at the poodle as if to ask, "What are we barking about?" Of course, he is cutest when he gets his turn on a lap the poodle vacates then looks up into one's face with an expression that seems to say, "Oooh! You love me best, too!" We LOVE our Susie's schnauzer!
